System Support Worker II
The Renfrew Victoria Hospital (RVH) is a 55-bed, fully accredited facility located just 45 minutes west of Ottawa, serving a catchment area of over 60,000. Part of the Renfrew and Area Health Village, RVH provides medical, surgical and complex continuing care as well as extensive ambulatory care with over 30,000 emergency and clinic visits per year.

Come join us! We are hiring a Permanent, Part Time Junior System Support Worker.
Pay Grid: $30.86-$31.70/hour
Union: CUPE
The System Support Worker I, junior support, is responsible to assist the Director of Information Technology and Senior System Support Worker, and respond to first level support calls; monitor backups to ensure data integrity; configure new PC’s for the hospital environment; configure and maintain help desk applications, document IT related procedures, complete IT related projects as assigned, and other entry level duties in a manner consistent with RVH’s mission, vision and values.

• Graduate of an approved minimum 2-year Community College course with a relevant degree or diploma (e.g., Computer Science, Telecommunications, etc.) Equivalent experience will be considered.
• 2 years’ related experience is required
• Ability to learn and support new applications.
• Able to make decisions independently, prioritize and carry out various job functions ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely fashion.
• Excellent attention to detail and applications training skills
• Excellent telephone, written and in-person communication and interpersonal skills
• Effective problem solving abilities as well as a commitment to quality
• Able to perform the duties within the working conditions of the work area including frequent interruptions; occasional heavy physical effort required such as lifting or moving equipment (maximum of 40 pounds)
• Able to make decisions independently, prioritize and carry out various job functions ensuring all deadlines are met in a timely fashion
• Must hold a valid Ontario driver’s license for travel within the region
• Must be available to work off-site as appropriate and/or required
• Participate in on-call schedule including evenings and weekends.
