In an effort to provide a one-stop-shop for all things related to the R3 Project, the R3 Project team is excited to launch its refreshed website – and it all came together thanks to two AC co-op students.
Behind the website’s design and development are Algonquin College co-op students, Adrián Gracia and Mozhdeh Mehrafarin.
With a promise to get a first view of Algonquin College’s new Student Information System, nearly 300 Algonquin College staff attended the R3 Showcase Event on Feb. 2, 2022.
R3 Project Sponsor and Vice-President of Student Services, Laura Stanbra, hosted the Showcase Event virtually, where she introduced a range of speakers.
The R3 Project has welcomed an amazing group of Algonquin College employees making up the Change Champion Network!
The Change Champion Network (CCN) is a group of employees who are early adopters and support their department or faculty through the R3 transformation project. This network is an opportunity to engage and support Algonquin College employees. They were officially introduced at the R3 Project Year in Review event on Dec. 7.
The R3 Project is establishing a group of Change Champions to support General Users in their understanding and adoption of Thesis SM, our new Student Information System. General Users are those who primarily use the student information system to look up information and may, on occasion, perform specific tasks.
The R3 Project has launched ‘New Term Tuesday,’ a campaign to share important new terms related to the introduction of the Student Information System (SIS) with the College community. Almost 350 members of the College community gathered virtually on Monday, Feb. 8, 2021, to officially launch the SIS Project. The event followed the November 2020 announcement of Unit4 as the College’s new Student Information System and implementation partner.
Those gathered were also the first to learn the project has been rebranded, as R3, which stands for “rethink, redesign, reimagine.”
President Claude Brulé expanded on its meaning in his keynote address.
The SIS Project has a new look and a new name, R3, a college transformation project. R3 stands for “rethink, redesign, reimagine.”
The brand is designed to generate excitement about the project and the visual design puts the learner at the centre. The new brand keeps the College’s new Software-as-a-Service Student Information System central while also highlighting both the other supporting project initiatives and the project’s outcome.
President Claude Brulé announced Unit4 as Algonquin College’s Student Information system vendor and partner following a rigorous Request for Proposal process that took place over 12 months from October 2019.
