Terms and Conditions

Card Issuance

  • All cards are property of Algonquin College, are non-transferable and are intended for official Algonquin College Services
  • The card is your official identification card for Algonquin College.  It is valid for as long as you are a student enrolled at the College.
  • In order to receive a card you must provide two (2) valid pieces of government issued photo-identification as well as your Official Timetable from the Registrar’s Office or a full timetable printed off ACSIS.
  • Cards no longer needed, expired, or lost are to be returned to the Card Systems Office, C044a.
  • Algonquin College assumes no responsibility for lost, stolen or damaged cards.
  • The name printed on the card is the individual’s official name as recorded in Algonquin College’s database.
  • No hats, sunglasses, or gestures will be allowed when taking your photograph.

 Confidentiality

  • All digital photographs will be printed on the card and stored in the confidential Card Systems database.
  • Student photographs and enrolment information are proprietary and are kept secure and confidential at the Card Systems Office.  Outside parties are not privileged to personal or account information unless express consent is granted or the College is complying with security, legal or government agencies.

 Safeguards

  • Protect your card by storing it in a safe place, do not punch holes, apply stickers or make any other modifications to your card, it may render it useless.
  • Never lend your card to anyone, you are responsible for any transactions recorded on your card

Lost, Stolen or Damaged Cards

  • If a card is found it can be turned in either to Security Services or to the Algonquin College Card Services Department, Room C044a, 1385 Woodroffe Ave, Ottawa, ON, K2G 1V8
  • All cardholders must pay $15.00 for replacement of cards regardless of whether the card was lost, stolen, or damaged.

  • Algonquin College is not liable for financial loss or criminal repercussions associated with lost, stolen, damaged or fraudulently used cards.

Changes to Terms

  • Futures changes in terms and conditions regulating use of the card will apply to all cards in circulation and use at that time and will supersede the terms and conditions in effect at the time the card was acquired. The College reserves the right to change any of the aforementioned policies without notice.
