Regulations
Lockers are available for rent to full-time program registrants only for the first two weeks of a new semester, at which time they become available to the general student population and will be allocated on a first-come first-served basis from the Registrar’s Office.   The location of the locker and the locker number are determined by the Registrar’s Office at the time of rental.  Algonquin’s Student Information System allocates lockers accordingly to programs, timetable and availability of lockers.  Students are expected to provide their own lock, and should not occupy lockers illegally.  Students should verify the expiry date of their lockers and ensure they either renew or vacate on time.

If you are assigned a locker and find that there is already a lock on it, please identify this to the Locker office located in Room C044a Woodroffe Campus to arrange to have it removed.

Students who are registered with the Centre for Students with Disabilities and have specific locker needs are required to identify themselves to the Registrar’s Office in room C150 at Woodroffe or to the Locker Office in C044a.

Students who withdraw from the College, or fail to register for the following semester, forfeit their right to the use of the locker.

Students should not store perishable/offensive items, money or valuables in their lockers.  Any liquids or perishable items collected will not be stored.  Lockers should be secured with a suitable lock when not in use.  Students should obtain independent insurance or confirm coverage under an existing insurance policy to cover the risk of loss or damage to their property while on College premises, which will include items stored in lockers.  Algonquin College assumes no responsibility whatsoever for the safety of items left in lockers at any time.

Lockers may not be switched with other students without the authorization of the Register’s Office or Locker department Office.  If a locker is occupied illegally, it may result in the cutting of the lock and the confiscation of the locker contents, at the occupier’s expense.

In the event of an unpaid and/or illegal occupancy or occupancy past the expiry date, the locker will be opened, the contents removed and placed in the locker storage facility.  The contents will be retained for 30 days and a fee of $15.00 will be levied for the release of its contents, after which time the content will be disposed as per College policy.

Fees
The cost of a locker rental (full or half lockers) is $12.00 per term. Locker fees are non-refundable, with the exception of students who officially withdraw before the beginning of a semester.

Collaborative Programs with Carleton University and the University of Ottawa
Students registered in the programs offered collaboratively with one of our university partners may obtain a locker in person at the Registrar's Office in C150, or by phoning 613-727-4723 ext 2503 or e-mail lockers@algonquincollege.com
