Snow Clearing and Overnight Parking Regulations

The College enlists the services of a contractor to engage in snow clearing activities upon accumulations in excess of 3 cm. During Snow Clearing activities, you may be required to move your vehicle immediately from the permit lot where it is parked.  Please check with the Parking Office for the proper lot in which to temporarily relocate. Failure to do so may result in your vehicle being ticketed and/ or towed at the owner’s risk and expense.

If you are a valid permit holder in the Residence lot, you will be required to check with the Residence Front Desk to ensure your vehicle is not obstructing snow clearing activities on days when plowing is expected. A reasonable attempt will be made to inform you of snow clearing activities scheduled for the Residence lot by the Front Desk staff.

IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO ENSURE YOUR VEHICLE IS NOT OBSTRUCTING SNOW CLEARING ACTIVITIES TO AVOID BEING TICKETED AND/ OR TOWED FROM THAT LOT.

OVERNIGHT PARKING

Overnight parking on campus property is prohibited without a valid Residence Lot Parking Permit or permission from the Parking Office. Overnight parking is allowed in the Residence Lot only unless instructed to park elsewhere by the Parking Office. Should you require to leave your vehicle overnight, you must contact the Parking Office between 8:15 am to 4:45 pm to request permission to leave the vehicle overnight.
The Parking Office may refuse to allow your vehicle to remain overnight on College property or the office may assign you a permit number and specific area where you may leave the vehicle. A vehicle left unattended overnight on Algonquin property may be ticketed and or towed at the owner’s risk and expense. Algonquin College does not assume responsibility for any vehicles parked on Algonquin property.
