Borrowing Materials - What Can I Borrow From The Library?

Library users may take out Books and Visual Media (DVDs, CDs, slides, audiocassettes etc.) materials for use outside of the library.

As a general rule, a maximum of 10 items can be charged out at one time.

However, due to high demand and limited resources in particular subject areas of the collection, it may be necessary to limit borrowing to 3 items on any one subject.

It is also possible to borrow items for use within the library. These items include:

Reserve Materials

It is possible to borrow documents, books and other library materials, for use in the library, on an hourly loan basis. These items appear in the catalogue with the location code "Reserves" and are available at the Main Desk of your campus library. Reserve items have 3 hour loan period and are restricted to Algonquin College students. Find out more

Laptops

Students registered at Algonquin College may borrow laptops to complete their course work. Laptops have a 3 hour in-library loan period. Students must have their student card or their library card with photo ID with them to borrow a laptop. Find out more
