This eight-month Ontario College Graduate Certificate program provides students with industry-specific knowledge to enter and promote their careers in energy management.
Students will learn a broad range of energy solutions including measurement and verification, the design and implementation of energy projects, conservation, generation, and supply and risk management.
Graduates of the Energy Management program will have knowledge and skills in the fundamentals of the energy sector including power generation, distribution and consumption.
Your Career in Energy Management
Graduates will find employment in a broad range of positions in the public, private and non-profit sectors including: federal, provincial, territorial and municipal levels of government; corporate agencies, energy service providers, as well as in both commercial and industrial organizations related to the energy sector. Potential job titles include:
- Energy Management Officers
- Energy Market Analyst
- Energy Policy Analyst
- Energy Conservation Engineer
- Project Manager
Students who tend to succeed in this program are those who are organized and have strong written and oral communication skills, and who are adept at analytical and critical thinking.
