Skills students have at the start of co-op work term:

  • ClearDecisions Vividata, Comscore: Using secondary research databases to profile target audiences and craft communication messages.
  • Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.), Canva: Craft visual messages for digital
  • Programmatic digital ad buying tool (Stukent): To simulate digital ad buying including Search and Social Media Analytics simulation tool (Stukent, Excel), business analytics and campaign analytics tools (Tableau, etc.): Analyze analytics for online promotional campaigns and link to company business objectives
  • Marketing Tech Stack (Salesforce.com, etc.): Manage projects seamlessly
  • Tools specific to separate digital strategies: Website development and management tools (Shopify, etc.), Direct email campaign management, Social media management (Hootsuite, Social Media Channels, etc.)
  • Certificates: Google Ad Certification (Google Ads, Google Display, Google Search, Google Ads Measurement), Google Analytics, Interactive Advertising Bureau of Canada learning, etc.
      Students available for co-op employment starting in May 2023.

Requirements to remain eligible for co-op:

This program requires students to complete three co-op work terms. Qualified students who achieve the minimum GPA can apply for a paid co-op employment to gain valuable work experience and networks within industry. Contact your Program Coordinator for specific qualification requirements. To qualify, students must meet all of the following Eligibility Criteria.

  •  Be enrolled as a full-time student in the BDMC Program.
  • Complete all required courses for all terms preceding scheduled work term(s).
  • Maintain the minimum 1.7 GPA and course requirements. Achievement of the minimum requirements does not guarantee participation in co-op.
  • Remain on cycle in the program and follow the BDMC Co-op Work/Study Schedule
  • Successfully complete GEP1001 – Cooperative Education & Job Readiness 2 academic terms before the first scheduled work term.
  • Adhere to the Student Terms and Conditions at all times.
