Skills students have at the start of co-op work term:
- Understand & apply current Incident Management System software;
- Understand principles of public safety within the context of Canadian democratic values & legislation;
- Inter-professional capabilities using a collaborative approach in addressing public safety situations;
- Leadership skills reinforced within a team-based environment.
- Investigate, document and report security related incidents in accordance with accepted investigative practices;
- Develop and communicate plans and recommendations that integrate the results of research, assessment and investigations;
- Able to design, implement, manage and evaluate security awareness education initiatives; and
- Work with diverse stakeholders and populations.
