Skills students have at the start of co-op work term:

  • Understand & apply current Incident Management System software;
  • Understand principles of public safety within the context of Canadian democratic values & legislation;
  • Inter-professional capabilities using a collaborative approach in addressing public safety situations;
  • Leadership skills reinforced within a team-based environment.
  • Investigate, document and report security related incidents in accordance with accepted investigative practices;
  • Develop and communicate plans and recommendations that integrate the results of research, assessment and investigations;
  • Able to design, implement, manage and evaluate security awareness education initiatives; and
  • Work with diverse stakeholders and populations.
