Scan

Scanning gives you an opportunity to send handwritten class notes, official documents, class handouts and much more directly to your Algonquin College email.

Scanning Instructions

  • Locate a multi-function printer
  • At the printer, tap your AC Card (student ID card)
  • Select the Scan button.
  • Place the document you would like scanned face-up on the tray located on top of the printer, or on the scanner glass.
  • The default view contains a button in Favourites labelled “Email Me” that you should select. This is your @algonquinlive email address.
  • At this time, you can also change the default settings if needed, for one-sided/two-sided, desired resolution, colour versus black and white, file types and scan size.
  • After you have selected, Email Me, hit Start.
  • If you have other files to scan, you can do so one by one. Otherwise, please be sure to Log Out before leaving the printer.
  • The document will immediately be emailed to your @AlgonquinLive email account.

Scanning is charged at a rate of $0.08 per image.

Scanning Tips

If you get an error when after trying to scan (such as not enough space), try scanning to a USB key (port located on the right side of the printer) instead of scanning to email. For more information, see What can I do when I have problems scanning to email with a Konica Minolta printer?
