Before you start…
Faculty, please read these notes before you start.
1. Students must book each test through the CAL Student Portal. All tests are tentatively booked until you approve the request as is or modify it.
2. Only supervised tests can be booked through CAL Test Services. For unsupervised tests, refer to the student’s letter of accommodation and apply their requested accommodations to the test. For tests in Brightspace, we have resources to help you make these adjustments.
3. For all tests (except final exams), students must book their test at least 7 days before the test. For example, if the test is on a Friday, the student will need to book the test on the previous Friday before midnight.
4. For final exams, students must book their test before the stated deadline. Students accommodated requests for final exam week August 10-17 must be completed by Wednesday, July 17, 2024.
5. Please review and approve their request as soon as possible. CAL Test Services only requires the exam details — not the exam — by this deadline. You’ll receive an email for each student who has booked a test. It will include a link to the CAL Faculty Portal.
Important notes:
- For each test with the same course code, section, date and time, respond to the first booking request as soon as possible
- You don’t need to respond to all booking requests for the same test
- Check booking requests one more time at least six days before the test
