4 steps to log in to the CAL Faculty Portal:

Faculty, follow these 4 steps to log in to the CAL Faculty Portal:

  1. When a student books a test in your course, you’ll receive an email.  In the email, select “CAL Online Booking Portal – Faculty” to go to the login page.
  2. Log in using your Algonquin College username and password. 
  3. Once you’re logged in, select “Courses.” This will show you all of the courses for the term in which a student with a letter of accommodation is enrolled. A star beside a course means that there is at least one future test scheduled in the course.  
  4. Select “Tests and exams.” In the Action column, select “Confirm/Edit” for the test request you would like to review. 

Steps to respond to a test request in the CAL Faculty Portal:

Follow these 4 steps to respond to a test request in the CAL Faculty Portal:

  1. Approve or modify the test date, test start time, and test end time.
  2. Review the list of students who have requested to book this test.  
  3. Provide us with test details and instructions on how to administer the test. 
  4. Select “Submit changes.” Wait for a “Thank you” page that confirms that we’ve received your changes.

After approving a test request:

You’ve approved the booking. Now what? 

  1. We’ll send you a cover sheet by email several days before the test. 
  2. Add the cover sheet to each test. 
  3. Drop off the test with the cover sheet attached to Room E304e (3rd Floor, Student Commons)  OR email it caltestservices@algonquincollege.comWe must receive the test at least 2 business days before midterms and at least 4 business days before final exams.
  4. After the student completes the test, pick up the hard copy in Room E304e (3rd Floor, Student Commons).  

Steps for online tests:

For online tests, follow these steps:

  1. We’ll send you a list of students and their accommodation information within 7 days of the test. However, if it’s a final exam, we’ll send you this information after each term’s specific deadlines for booking a final exam through CAL Test Services. 
  2. Once you have this information, use Brightspace to adjust each test so that it has the accommodations the student has requested. Learn more about making accommodation adjustments in Brightspace
  3. We’ll let you know if the student did not write the test.
