Taking part in the Employment Equity Survey is your opportunity to spark positive change and progress at Algonquin College. Help us as we continuously aim to get a fuller, clearer and increasingly accurate picture of all identities represented within our College community.

Measurement is the first step toward creating the equitable, diverse and inclusive work environment our leadership team envisioned when committing to the actions outlined in the 2022-2025 Strategic Plan. This vision is 100% achievable, but we can’t do it alone!

The FAQ page on the diversity website is meant to provide you with the information you need to feel comfortable and safe submitting your personal identifying information as part of the Employment Equity Survey program. Through these communications you will learn about our commitment to privacy, confidentiality, and accountability.

Here are four quick facts about the survey:

  1. The Employment Equity Survey will be released to all newly hired employees. All  Algonquin College employees whether Administrative, Support and Academic including all employment types e.g. full-time, part-time, fixed-term, partial load, will receive an email with a link to complete the Employment Equity self-identification via a survey in Workday.
  2. We are using Workday to deploy the survey and store the data that is collected. Workday has been a reliable HRIS tool for College employees and will provide a fast, secure and user-friendly experience for submission of your survey responses (You can find more information on our commitment to ensuring the confidentiality and security of the data being collected in the FAQ page – see question 2).
  3. Completion of the survey is highly-encouraged; however, each survey question allows for the option to select if you prefer not to disclose any personally identifying information.
