While you’re not necessarily designing a true remote learning experience, your students will still benefit from your consideration of some of the underlying principles that have been shown to work in online environments. This collection of modules and resources should help you to frame your ideas and to identify any gaps to be addressed.

Frameworks

  • Online Teaching Institute – This Algonquin College micro-learning module covers some foundational remote learning frameworks: Types of Interactions, Community of Inquiry and the ARCS Motivational Design Model.
  • Community of Inquiry – This concept map further develops the ideas at the heart of the Community of Inquiry framework.
