Basic Controls for Gas Technicians

Knowledge of and the use of basic controls for gas-fired equipment is essential for heating/cooling control, safety, and energy efficiency. Building on previous study, students develop troubleshooting capabilities while gaining the understanding of the control systems critical to gas-fired equipment. In the practical component, students describe and identify controls in gas fired systems, identify the action of the control, and troubleshoot controls. Students also assess defective controls and demonstrate how to repair or replace them.


Spring 2017: There are two Saturday classes on May 27th and June 10th from 8:00 am - 3:00 pm.
