Field placement provides a practical opportunity for students to demonstrate some of the vocational program standards. Students develop technical skills through the application of the knowledge gained in the prerequisite courses. Students also have the opportunity to observe the ethical application of behavioural principles/techniques. Students are required to complete a placement in an ABA based and/or IBI program for children with ASD. Students are also required to complete these hours on a full-time schedule during agency business hours. Students must have Non-Violent Crisis Intervention.

This placement course is part of a graduate certificate program which requires an approval process. Online registration is not available. Please visit the Field Placement Centre in the semester prior to your placement to determine all eligibility requirements have been met in order to register for this course.
