Effective Interpersonal and Organizational Communication

Effective leaders are able to use communication to ensure that individual, team and organizational goals are clearly understood. In this initial course of the Fundamentals of Leadership program, participants learn the theories and concepts associated with interpersonal communication and explore the different ways in which leaders can communicate in the workplace to best effect. Emphasis is placed on the ability to recognize communication preferences and plan communications strategies using proven tools and techniques. A review of one's own communication preferences, group discussion and hands-on activities make for a comprehensive learning experience.
