Conducting interviews is a critical step in investigations. Students learn the basic techniques of interviewing and the limited uses of an interrogation in private security. Students explore the legal requirements, cautions and learn the legal continuity of statements. They learn how to deal with admissions by a suspect and the legal requirements surrounding the admission of statements in court. Finally, students gain sensitivity to the cultural differences in relation to interviewing and how to accommodate cultural needs in an interview.
