Project Implementation and Closure

Course: MGT6026

During the project implementation phase the project manager leads the project team to complete the work defined in the project management plan and satisfy the project specifications. Upon completion of project implementation, the project manager leads the project team through the process of finalizing all activities to formally complete the project, phase or contractual obligations. Students discuss how to complete a project management plan, obtain approval for project baselines, conduct activities to complete the approved work, manage project change and effectively close out project phases. Students, formed into teams, implement a project simulation where they apply the knowledge and experience gained in previous modules. The principles of project integration management are applied to effectively bring a project idea from conception to closure.
