Soft skills are necessary in becoming a successful postsecondary student. The skills of a successful student include analyzing oneself as a learner, solving problems, thinking critically, working on a team and following through on changes leading to the fulfillment of personal and career goals. Students explore the theories and principles of learning, brain function, learning styles, motivation and group dynamics. This theoretical foundation is used to develop personalized learning strategies that are acquired in a supportive and collaborative learning environment and can be transferred to future learning.
