User-centred design focuses on people, their work, their environments and how technology can best be deployed to support them. The secret to successful design thus lies in understanding the user within an overall context. Learners employ research techniques to determine user characteristics and limitations relevant to interface design. Learners base their user-centred designs on user profiles, personas, task analysis and environmental aspects.
