Venting Practices for Appliances

Venting practices for all gas-fired equipment is crucial for the safe removal of flue products (products of combustion). Students learn about heat transfer, combustion efficiency and the role proper venting and air supply requirements play in the safe and efficient operation of gas-fired appliances. In the practical component, students identify, develop, design, and size venting systems utilizing various venting materials and components in accordance with venting requirements and applicable codes.
