Weekly Schedule
The Weekly Schedule is a companion document to the Course Outline that provides students with a detailed roadmap of their learning experience throughout the course. It outlines weekly or module learning objectives, learning activities, required resources, and assessment information, helping students understand what they will learn, what is expected of them, and how their progress will be evaluated.
Use the appropriate Weekly Schedule template below to organize learning objectives, activities, resources, and assessments for each week or module of your course. The templates are designed to support constructive alignment between learning outcomes, instruction, and assessment.
Templates and Example
The Weekly Schedule template includes guidance for writing measurable Weekly or Module Learning Objectives and aligning them with learning activities, resources, and assessments. It has been developed to support AODA accessibility requirements and align with the Quality Matters framework. We recommend using the template during course planning and development, before building your course in Brightspace.

How the Weekly Schedule Complements the Course Outline
The Weekly Schedule complements the Course Outline by providing the following:
- Section Information such as instructor contact information, class location, and meeting times. These details are typically available in ACSIS a few weeks before course delivery and can be added at that time.
- Learning Resources, including required course materials and additional resources that support learning across multiple weeks or modules. Resources specific to a particular week should be included within the learning schedule itself.
- Detailed Assessment Information, including individual assessment names, grade weighting, and the Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) they validate. This level of detail extends beyond the assessment categories provided in the Course Outline.
- A Weekly Learning Schedule that identifies topics, learning objectives, activities, assessments, resources, and CLO alignment for each week or module.
- Section-Specific Information, including course policies, student expectations, attendance requirements, late submission procedures, extension processes, and other important course details.
