Welcome Students and Potential Students!

As the campus Student Success Specialist, I am much like a GPS. I hope to support you to find your way if you feel lost or to help get to where you want to go in the most efficient and practical way. Some of the ways I can help are by:

  • encouraging you to develop skills and abilities to take ownership of your learning and career goals
  • helping you identify support services that can clarify both your career and life goals
  • sharing information about college academic programs and opportunities
  • helping you access appropriate college resources and services as you may need and want
  • giving you alternatives and options when your pathway is altered or requires change

Own-It! Campaign

OWN IT!

Own It! is a campaign to make you aware. Aware that your success is YOURS to own – and well within YOUR reach! And, just like owning anything – like a cell phone, a car, or an expensive pair of shoes – as the owner, you must look after it. Maintain it. Invest in it.

To look after things that you own, you need the right tools. Like a case for your cell phone or the proper headlights for your car or protective cleaner for those fancy shoes! For your overall success (in school, in your career, or at life in general), here are four tools you can use to develop your skillset as you go along in life:

  • Resiliency
  • Problem Solving
  • Adapt to Change
  • Self-Advocacy

The Own It! campaign, using these four tools, can help you get through challenging situations.
