Professional development of a child and youth care practitioner continues with the integration of theory and practice. Each therapeutic field experience provides unique opportunities to understand and develop vocational skills. Focus is on understanding how community systems, professionals and clients work together to promote positive change. Students learn to select and apply advanced skills in therapeutic settings, refine client engagement skills and relate to clients in more complex situations.
