Meet the Faculty

Michael Wheatley, Program Coordinator

Michael’s background includes 10 years of Audio-Visual work with various production houses in Ottawa, Toronto and Montreal. An honours graduate of the AMS program, he completed a number of museum contracts before accepting a position in the federal public service as a collections manager.

Since joining the AMS team in 2003, Michael has taught shop, design and computer courses, in addition to helping students create exhibitions for several museum partners in the region.


Terry Quinlan

Terry is a graduate of the Art Conservation Techniques program from Sir Sanford Fleming College, the Conservation Technology Institute and the Intermuseum Conservation Training at Oberlin College in Ohio. He completed an advanced internship at Library and Archives Canada in the conservation of paper and books.

Terry has over 2 decades of experience in the field of conservation including the adjudication of museum operational grants for the city of Ottawa, participation in the relocation of the City of Ottawa Archives, consulting on the preventive care of museum, gallery and archival collections and the development of community partnerships for the AMS program.

Terry is a member of the Canadian Association of Conservation for Cultural Property, The Canadian Museum Association and the International Council of Museums Conservation Committee.
