Outdoor Adventure Naturalist Application Process
According to our Outdoor Adventure Naturalist students and graduates, this program is fantastic! Because our outdoor programs are unique and involve some challenging physical training, we want to make sure our students and our programs are a good fit. Please read the admission requirements below for the Outdoor Adventure Naturalist 45-week co-op program. Students and Parents should also refer to the Gear List and Handbook link found on the right-hand side menu.
Step 1:
- Meet College Eligibility Requirements (Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent. (Mature Applicants – 19 years and over without a high school diploma, must complete academic testing)
- Meet Program Eligibility Requirements; English Grade 12 (ENG4C or equivalent is required) and Mathematics Grade 12 (MAP4C or equivalent)
Step 2:
- Prior to registration in the program, accepted applicants must:
- Provide proof of current basic/standard First Aid certification by submitting proof using the Support Document Upload form
- Sign and submit an Outdoor Adventure Naturalist Program Assumption of Risk and Indemnifying Release form (one for students 18 years old and over OR a release form for those under 18 years old) and Parental Consent form if the applicant is under 18 years of age
- Complete a confidential Personal Information, Health and Consent form provided by the College
Applicants who have met Step 1 of the Eligibility and Selection process and have been accepted into the program must then complete Step 2 (provide proof of basic/standard First Aid and a signed release form) prior to registration into the program. Also, students will be asked to submit a confidential Personal Information, Health and Consent Form prior to the beginning of the program.
