Academic Progression & Advising

Your academic journey. Your goals. We’re here to help.

Are you studying on campus at our Ottawa campus? Academic Advice is now provided by the Registrar’s Office!

It’s okay to ask questions. It’s okay to need help. And it’s okay if your academic journey doesn’t look exactly how you originally planned. We’re here to help you understand your options and find a path forward throughout your educational journey at Algonquin College.

Our goal is to provide you with the information, resources, and guidance you need to make informed academic decisions and stay on track toward your goals.

We can help you:

  • Clarify your educational goals and identify pathways to help you achieve them.
  • Develop a successful course load and registration plan that supports your academic progress.
  • Understand your options and how course withdrawals, course overload requests, and other academic decisions may affect your academic standing.
