The ALGONQUIN COLLEGE BURSARIES listed on this page are specifically for programs at the Heritage Institute Campus, located in Perth (Ontario).

Funds for bursaries marked with an asterisk are matched through the Ontario Trust for Student Support (OTSS). To be eligible, you must be a Canadian Citizen and have been a resident of Ontario for at least 12 consecutive months, and must not have attended full-time post-secondary studies in the year prior to submitting your bursary application.

Barbara Lynn Giles Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in a full-time program at the Algonquin College Perth Campus who can demonstrate financial need.

Bennett Family Bursary

Awarded to students entering Level 04 of the Business – Agriculture program at the Algonquin College Perth Campus who can demonstrate financial need.

Ed Ireland Heritage Carpentry Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the Heritage Carpentry and Joinery program who can demonstrate financial need.

Ed Ireland Perth Campus Bursary*

Awarded to (3) students enrolled in a full-time program at the Algonquin College Perth Campus who can demonstrate financial need.

Joan Macartney Bursary*

Awarded to a student enrolled in a full-time program at the Algonquin College Perth Campus who has demonstrated financial need and who can demonstrate leadership potential.

Kelly-Brearley Entrance Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in a full-time program at the Algonquin College Perth Campus who can demonstrate financial need. Special consideration given to students 25 years of age or older who reside in Lanark County.

Application Required (Fall 2021)

Lanark South District Women’s Institute Bursary

Awarded to Algonquin College Perth Campus students who can demonstrate financial need and are enrolled in Level 02 of one of the following programs: Business – Agriculture, Early Childhood Education, or Police Foundations. Special consideration given to students from Lanark County.

Marshall Stevenson Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in the graduating level of the Heritage Carpentry and Joinery program who can demonstrate financial need and have achieved good academic standing.

Middleville and District Museum Bursary

The Middleville and District Museum Bursary is awarded to one (1) student in their second year of study in the Heritage Carpentry and Joinery program at the Perth campus who can demonstrate financial need.

The Bursary is open to Canadian citizens, landed immigrants, permanent residents, and protected persons.

Mike Martin Heritage Carpentry & Joinery Bursary

The Mike Martin Heritage Carpentry and Joinery Bursary was recently established in memory of Mike Martin who passed away on April 26th, 2021 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. He will be remembered for his big personality, engaging sense of humor, his integrity, and his passion for the building industry. It is fitting to honour Mike by continuing his generosity for those following in his footsteps in the Heritage Carpentry and Joinery program at Algonquin College.
The Mike Martin Heritage Carpentry and Joinery Bursary is awarded to (1) one student enrolled in the Heritage Carpentry and Joinery program at the Perth Campus who can demonstrate financial need.

Perth and District Community Foundation – Town of Perth Bursary Fund*

Awarded to students enrolled in a full-time program at the Algonquin College Perth Campus who can demonstrate financial need.

Perth and District Community Foundation – Lily Roy Memorial Bursary Fund*

Awarded to students enrolled in a full-time program at the Algonquin College Perth Campus who can demonstrate financial need.

Perth Campus Golf Tournament Bursary

Awarded to students enrolled in a full-time program at the Algonquin College Perth Campus who can demonstrate financial need.

The Peter Ramsay Heritage Carpentry and Joinery Entrance Bursary

The Peter Ramsay Heritage Carpentry and Joinery Entrance Bursary is awarded to a first year student in the Heritage Carpentry and Joinery program, based on financial need.

This bursary was established in memory and in honour of Peter Ramsay.

The Peter Ramsay Heritage Carpentry and Joinery Bursary is awarded to a second year student in the Heritage Carpentry and Joinery program, based on financial need.

Tyler Page Generosity of Spirit Bursary*

Awarded to students enrolled in a full-time program at the Algonquin College Perth Campus who can demonstrate financial need. Recipients must have completed at minimum, one semester at the Algonquin College Perth Campus and be a student who represents “generosity of spirit”.
