About Workday

Welcome to Workday, Algonquin College’s cloud-based system for human resources, payroll and finance.

As a College employee, you’ll use Workday for a wide range of functions, including:

  • Setting up and managing your contact and banking information.
  • Choosing your tax elections.
  • Managing your pension and benefits elections.
  • Entering time (hours worked/overtime).
  • Requesting time off.
  • Accessing your payslips and T4s.
  • Submitting expense reports.
  • Applying for new positions.

If you are a People Leader, a designated employee in a department, or work in Human Resources, Payroll or Finance, you will have additional security roles in Workday which will allow you to perform your day-to-day tasks such as initiating and approving hiring processes, approving time entries, time off requests and expense reports, as well as viewing and managing your cost centres and budgets. Financial planning and budgeting at Algonquin College utilizes the cloud-based system, Adaptive Planning with access available through Workday.
